Speedwell was the ship that sailed for America with the Mayflower and never got there. She sprang leaks, put back to England twice, and her passengers were crowded onto the Mayflower instead. Four hundred years later the name landed on a bar on Main Street, which is a reasonable joke about a leaky boat that gave up.
All-Angus beef burgers are the spine of this menu. The Brady Burger is the one people come back for — named for the quarterback, six rings and all, and they marked the sixth with an actual ring ceremony. The kitchen added smash burgers when it reworked the menu, and the rest is bar food done properly: wings, Hot Mess Buffalo, steak tips, fish tacos, clam chowder. Twenty-four beers on draft, and the list moves.
